Maya2Bambu v1.0

Compatibility: Maya 2022–2025 (Python 3).

Maya2Bambu exports your Maya selection to a Bambu Studio–ready STL.

• When run, the script automatically:
  • switches units to mm,
  • duplicates your selection (leaves originals untouched),
  • scales ×10 (Maya cm → mm),
  • rotates +90° on X to match Bambu’s orientation,
  • freezes transforms,
  • exports,
  • then restores your original units and grid settings.
    

UI settings (modes)

• Single (first selected)
  Exports the first valid mesh found in your selection as one STL.
• Combined (combines all selected into single object)
  Duplicates all meshes under your selection, merges them into one STL.
• Batch (auto-export each object)
  Exports one STL per mesh found under your selection. Good for printing parts separately.
• Batch by Material (separate and export by material colour)
  For each mesh, splits faces by material assignment and exports one STL per material (potentially helpful for multicolour workflows—import, assemble in Bambu, assign colours per part).
